He is a pioneer and inventor of modern arthroscopic shoulder surgery with worldwide teaching activity mostly in Europe, North America, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He invented more than 70 methods of shoulder surgery techniques most of them published in the first ranking scientific journals of the world and has 21 German and international patents in the field of shoulder surgery as well as more than 170 scientific publications. His arthroscopic operation techniques are the only in the world to treat rotator cuff tear, recurrent dislocation and fractures of the shoulder only using sutures without metals, screws, anchors or foreign bodies with excellent results in only one-day surgery. One of his inventions is the world best arthroscopic surgical knot, the Giant Knot, used mainly in orthopaedic, gynecologic and paediatric surgeries.
