
Ahmed Mohamed Shukry
Chairman of the department of surgery & head of minimally invasive surgery , Al Salam oncology center.
Graduated from kasr Al Einy school of medicine 1988, then started his training as a resident in general surgery in Cairo university hospital for 3 years after which he travelled to the United States to start a residency training program in Union memorial hospital ( affiliated to John’s Hopkins ),where he trained in general & vascular surgery as well as surgical oncology.
He then worked for 2 years in the Kuwait cancer control center.
In 1998 he passed the exam of the fellowship of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh.
In 1999, he returned to Egypt where he was appointed as head of surgery in Al Salam oncology center.
With the development of laparoscopic surgery, he was the leading surgeon in Egypt to adopt the techniques to surgical oncology . He performed most of oncological resections laparoscopically, he was the first surgeon in Egypt to perform laparoscopic whipple’s procedure & laparoscopic/thoracoscopic esophagectomy.
Today more than 95% of GIT malignancies, urologic & gynaecologic malignancies are performed laparoscopically.
He is an expert laparoscopist teaching courses and workshops in Egypt and around the world ( Medtronic center of innovation, Istanbul & IRCAD Africa, Rwanda)

Haitham Fekry Osman

Tamer Moustafa Manie
Assistant Professor and Consultant of Oncology Surgery at the National Cancer Institute.
He graduated from Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and began working in the Surgery Department at the National Cancer Institute in 2005. He obtained a Master’s degree in Oncology Surgery in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Medicine in 2014.
In 2015, he completed a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Rome, Italy. He also has additional training experience in France and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology.
His main interests include breast cancer surgery, oncology surgery, and breast reconstruction.

Waheed Yousry Abd El Rahman Gareer
